Embracing Life’s Journey: Reflections in My Mid-30s

Hello, everyone! It’s Ally, and I just wanted to take a moment to talk about being in my mid-30s. It’s been a real rollercoaster of a decade with lots of ups and downs, but I’ve learned a ton along the way. I thought I’d share some of the things I’ve been through and the lessons I’ve picked up, in case they might help you out too.

Finding Myself

As I’ve hit my mid-30s, I’ve been all about figuring out who I really am. It’s been less about what I’ve achieved and more about understanding what I care about, what I love doing, and what truly makes me happy. Sobriety has played a huge part in this, helping me see myself for who I really am.

Work and Personal Goals

This stage of my life has given me a much clearer idea of what I want from my career and personal life. I’ve learned how important it is to set boundaries and go after what I want based on my own values, not what everyone else expects. Taking on side gigs, trying out new hobbies, and putting my close relationships first have all been part of this journey.

Changing Relationships

In my mid-30s, my relationships with family, friends, and my significant other have really evolved. It’s a time when connections either get stronger or drift apart, as we become more secure in ourselves and what we need from our relationships.

Health and Wellness

I’ve started to pay a lot more attention to my physical health as I’ve gotten older. I’ve become more aware of how my body handles stress, food, and exercise. Mental health has been a big focus too, especially as I’ve dealt with some rough times. I’ve learned just how important self-care and listening to my body and mind really are.

Money Matters

The way I see money has totally changed in my mid-30s. It’s become more about building stability and security, understanding investments, and planning for the future. It’s been a real challenge, but also pretty empowering.

Looking back on my mid-30s, it’s clear that it’s been a time of huge transformation. There have been plenty of tough moments, but each one has taught me something and helped me grow. I feel like I’m much more in touch with who I am and what I want from life.

To all of you, no matter where you’re at in life, I hope you find the strength and courage to fully embrace it. And if you’re in your mid-30s or close to it, I’d love to hear about your experiences and what you’ve learned. Let’s share and help each other out on this wild journey we call life.

Here’s to taking on whatever life throws at us!

Ally
